John "Jack" Hannon, a devoted husband of Kathleen Hannon for 11 years, loving stepfather, cherished brother, passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 74. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on March 2, 1949, Jack was the beloved son of the late John Hannon and Edna Kuzmin Hannon. He grew up alongside his sister, Kathleen Megregian. In addition to his role as a loving husband, Jack embraced his role as a stepfather with open arms and a compassionate heart. He was a guiding light and a source of wisdom to Zachary Koran, Travis (Tanya) Koran, Amanda (Rich) Adkins, and Beau (Rebecca) Koran.
Professionally, Jack was a dedicated engineer for 36 years of his life to the Ford Motor Company, where he made lasting contributions and earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His untiring commitment to his work and his exceptional work ethic were evident in everything he did. Jack's dedication and passion for his craft left an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jack found solace and joy in his personal hobbies. He had a passion for golf, spending countless hours on the green, honing his skills, and enjoying the camaraderie of his fellow golf enthusiasts. He also found delight in collecting trains, a hobby that allowed him to appreciate the intricacy and beauty of these timeless machines.
Jack served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he demonstrated his selflessness and love for his country. He exemplified courage and bravery in the face of adversity, and his commitment to protecting the values he held dear earned him the utmost respect and gratitude from his fellow citizens.
Friends and loved ones will gather to pay their final respects to Jack during the visitation on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave.,
Novi, MI 48375 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM, offering a time for reflection and prayer in honor of his memory.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Our Lady of Victory 133 Orchard Dr,
Northville, MI 48167. Friends and family are invited to attend the service, with an instate period starting at 10:00 AM and the service commencing at 10:30 AM. It will be a time to celebrate Jack's remarkable life and to find solace in the memories and the impact he had on those around him.
