Seneca, South Carolina - John Milton Harbin, husband of Barbara Ann Smith Harbin, passed away on November 8, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late William Oscar Harbin and Frances Ables Harbin. John honorably served in the United States Air Force and later retired as Engineering Manager from Dynacast and Ryobi. John was a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church and a proud member of the Seneca Masonic Lodge 187. He also served multiple terms as President of the Oconee Country Club, where he enjoyed time with friends and fellow golfers.
John is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara Ann Smith Harbin; his sons, Greg Harbin (Melissa Sims) of Westminster and Brian Harbin (Karen) of Westminster; grandchildren, Chase Harbin (Bailey Grant), McKenzie Harbin Evans (Jason), Madison Harbin, Will Holman, John David Harbin, Ashley Brooke Harbin, Lily Sutton Knight (Brad), Santini Sutton, and Luke Reid; and three great-grandchildren, Miranda Mashburn, Alessandra Knight, and Memphis Knight.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeffery Michael Harbin, and a brother, Jerome Garvin Harbin.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00–2:00 p.m. at Sandifer Funeral Home.
The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are accepted, or memorials in John's memory may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, Missions Fund, 504 S. Oak Street, Seneca, SC 29678. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
