John Paul Hart, 70, of Hopewell, IL passed away on January 30, 2025 at his home. Paul, as he was known by friends and loved ones, was born on October 11, 1954 to George and Patricia (Long) Hart in Enid, Oklahoma.
Paul was a retired electrician with Caterpillar. He was a long time member of the Peoria Casting Club and the Chillicothe Sportsmen's Club. Paul loved the outdoors, enjoyed boating on the Illinois River, fishing, and hunting of all kinds. He enjoyed sharing his love for the outdoors with his grandchildren and was proud to help them catch their first fish. He was a Chicago Cubs fan. Paul enjoyed watching his son, Michael, umpire high school baseball and his other son, Sam, skydive.
Paul is survived by his son Michael, his wife Priscilla and their three children - Adam, Aiden, and Ava - all of Mahomet, IL; and his son Samuel Hart of Hopewell, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother - David Hart.
