Moultrie, Georgia – John Ferdinand Hawkins, 90, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at his residence.
A service to celebrate his life is 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Lifespring Community Church, with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born December 22, 1934, in Lincoln, Illinois, he was the only child of Audley Clyde Hawkins and Mary Hanke Dingle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Hawkins; and a great-granddaughter, Ruby Lee Hawkins.
A faithful member of Lifespring Community Church, he was a true servant of the Lord, served as an elder, held Shabbat classes on Saturday morning, and loved to preach the Jewish ministry.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Dunn Hawkins; children, Jeffrey Hawkins and wife, Lou Ann, Jerome Hawkins, J. Zacney Hawkins, Gigi Le Hawkins, Shelly M. Hawkins and John Anthony Hawkins and wife, Sara Jane; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
