John Allen Hoffmire went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 8,
2024. He was born on January 15, 1958, to the late Gerald V. Hoffmire and Thelma J. Mustard.
He was engaged to Marty Crawford, who he adored and they had a beautiful relationship. Marty has been a blessing in John's life.
John's favorite hangouts were the VFW, American Legion Post 162, and the American Legion
Post 584. He was well known for his keyboard playing and being an excellent sound
man in several local rock bands over the years. Two of the bands that he played with were
Longshot and Synergy. Music was a big part of John's life he loved to go out karaokeing where
he sang Elvis songs and many others. Other hobbies included fishing and yard work. John was a
good soul and will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Gone but never forgotten.
John is preceded in death by two wives and his father.
He is survived by his mother Thelma (Utley) Mustard, two surviving children, Travis
Jolley and Andrea Waldbauer, sister, Joyce (Thomas) Messenger, five grandchildren
and three half-sisters, Diana Pegler, Mary Jo Inskeep, and Becky (Garry) Price.
The family would like to invite John's friends and family to the Boyd Funeral Home for
the visitation on November 11, 2024, from 4pm - 7pm. Immediately following visitation
hours, there will be a service at 7pm, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, all
donations can be made to either the VFW, The American Legion Post 162, or The American
Legion Post 584. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of John Allen
Hoffmire in their time of mourning.
