John Huzzard Obituary

He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn Huzzard, his sister Annie Morgan, children; Sharon Cherry, Jill Tatter, David Huzzard, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
John graduated from Virginia Tech in 1963 and remained a fan of Hokies football until the end except when they would blow a game in the last minute like a bunch of stupid idiots (thanks Matt Ryan, Donovan McNabb, Reggie Bush, et al).
Among John's other favorite activities were boating on the Chesapeake Bay, golfing, watching baseball, movies, and reading.
John was born on September 19, 1940 in Arlington Virginia where he grew up, crashed his first Ford, and returned to work at Riggs bank after graduating from Virginia Tech. Throughout his life John was a successful business man owning several florist shops in Annandale, Falls Church, and Manassas, a photographic supply shop in Fairfax, and spent his retirement as a real estate investor.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date at First Presbyterian of Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
