John Martin Keller, 64, of Glendive, MT, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Glendive Medical Center. A graveside memorial will take place in Big Timber, MT, at a future date. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with local arrangements.
John was born in Billings, MT to John and Peggy Keller of Hardin, MT. He lived in Hardin until the family moved to Big Timber in 1972 where he went to school and graduated from Sweet Grass County High School in 1980.
He married the love of his life Donna Kinsey in Big Timber in 1983. They ranched in Big Timber until 1986. They then moved to Las Vegas where he went to school to become a high voltage electrician. Upon completing school, he then worked for Nevada Power. During that time, they had two beautiful daughters, Whitney and Courtney. His love for Montana brought them back to Glendive in 1999, where he continued his electrician career at Western Area Power Administration until his retirement in May 2025.
He enjoyed being at home, welding, woodworking and farming. He liked farming and anything to do with Ag equipment. He loved spending time with his grandson Kade and teaching him to run all of his equipment.
John is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Whitney (Aaron) Mischel; and grandson, Kade, of Glendive, MT; his sisters, Tammy (Dave) Church, of Big Timber, MT, Kim (Scott) Langhus, of Big Timber, MT, Carla (Perry) Hein, of Ballantine, MT; his brother-in-law, Lynn Kinsey of Billings, MT; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Lawrence) Allestad, of Big Timber, MT, DeAnne Kinsey, of Forsyth, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
