John Thomas Kelley

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Thomas Kelley, 50 of
Lakeland, FL unexpectantly gained his wings on June 16, 2025. John was a devoted
husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Johns presence would brighten any room he would enter. He didn't know a
stranger; everyone was a friend to him. Johns warmth, humor, selfless generosity touched
everyone lucky enough to know him. John was a storyteller, everyone that knew John had a
story, of either how they met or some crazy adventure they went on with him. He had a
personality that was larger than life. His sharp sense of humor allowed him to have a quick
comeback to any comment or joke said to him. You could always catch John singing and
dancing anywhere, didnt matter the place or the people he was around. He was a strong
believer in honesty and doing right by others. He believed in working smart not hard. He
always found the way to get the job done but in a way that was easier for him. And not
everything was old or trash to him, everything had value to it. He could sell you almost
anything. He had a way with words to make you feel like you were getting priceless
treasure. He loved hard, especially his family. His wife and daughters were his world. And
Duncan will always be his best friend, as they are reunited again.
John is survived by his wife Marie Kelley, his daughters Ashley Kelley (Armando
Castro) and Grace Kelley (Christian Trottier). His mother Francesca Kelley. Sisters Jennifer
Kelley, and April Hewett (Jamie Hewett). His niece Kaleigh Halstead (Anthony Halstead),
Nephew Robert Hall (Casey Nowack). Great nephew, Charles Halstead. John was
preceded in death by his father Willis Allen Kelley (PAT).
The family of John Kelley will receive family and friends on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at
1pm to celebrate the life of John Thomas Kelley. For those who cannot make this event a
second celebration will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Sub Hub (VFW) 6pm 9398
US Hwy 98 N Lakeland FL 33809. Please contact the family for more information on the
