Jack was an outstanding professor who taught generations of law students (including me) to think more deeply--and practically--about the law. Not only was he passionate about the law and teaching, but he was a kind and gentle colleague and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Jack was as solid as they come. A dedicated teacher, a committed scholar, an engaged colleague, and a warm friend. He taught so much to so many of us. We remember you with gratitude and affection.
