John is survived by his beloved wife, Ida (nee Massa) of 64 years. John was an only child, but grew up with five male cousins in Bridesburg, that he considered his brothers. John is also survived by his loving children Gerard J. Koszarek (Roseanna) and Marie-Elena Hastings (David), his cherished grandchildren David (Jessica), Stephanie, Andrew (Natasha Jo) and Kristopher, and his adored great grandchildren Griffin, Laurel, Gregorio and Zentano.
Jack, as his wife, family and friends called him, was known for his love of family, Philly sports teams, fishing, crabbing, sense of humor and last but not least, Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet John's family on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19114. His interment will follow at St. Dominic Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
