John Liszewski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Campbell and Thomas Funeral Home - Richboro on Dec. 6, 2022.
John Anthony Liszewski, 73, died unexpectedly on December 3, 2022, at his home in Richboro, PA. He is survived by his sister Rosemary Michalski (the late Alexander), nephews Michael (Carleen) Michalski, Nick (Wendy) Michalski, and Francis (Sarah) Michalski, as well his great nephews and nieces Oscar, Alexis, Joshua, Stanley, Hannah, Carpenter, and Benjamin. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Anthony Liszewski of the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA.
John, born March 8, 1949, was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He graduated from North Catholic High School and studied music at Temple University where he also played in the band. He had a passion for music, playing in bands, and transcribing music for other musicians. He also enjoyed reading, wine, the occasional cigar, and a rousing game of Pinochle. He never missed watching the String Bands, especially Polish American, featured in the Philadelphia Mummer's Parade, nor the opportunity to cheer for (or jeer at) his Phillies. He made his opinion known about everything and appreciated the extra opportunities to impart his knowledge on the next generation as his nephews' families grew - "Uncle Johnny" was like no one else! John was a constant and reliable source of support, stability, and sagacity for his sister Rose, especially so over the past 15 years. He will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10:15 to 11:15AM and to the celebration of his funeral Mass at 11:30AM in Saint Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro with interment following in Union Cemetery, Richboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954 would be appreciated by his family.
