John Lizzio, 66 of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey.
Born Friday, January 10, 1958 in New York City, John was the son of the late Salvatore and Victoria Lizzio.
John was raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, in the streets of Little Italy. At the age of 15 the Lizzio family moved to the New Dorp section of Staten Island, and John would graduate from Monsignor Farrell High School. John worked as a bus operator for the Monroe Township board of education. John enjoyed spending time at local car shows, and had a few classic cars of his own. While at home John enjoyed baking and cooking for his family. He loved listening to classic music from the 50's, 60's, 70's. John truly enjoyed lending a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Above all else John loved being surrounded by his family, and will be deeply missed by all those that love him.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Karen, by his loving children, John Lizzio and his wife Ashley, Alyssa Pascrell and her husband Frankie, and Joseph Lizzio, by his caring sisters, Joette Pompeo and her husband Tony, and Dianne Walsh and her husband Joe, and by his cherished granddaughters, Julianna and Adalynn.

I remember John when he and I worked at the Milltown Home Depot. We would have many conversations talking about cars, motorcycles, family etc. John was a great man, and I will miss him very much. My sincere condolences to your family.

I remember John as a fun loving kind person in our HS days. So sorry for your loss. Great day in HS where John (top left), and a few other friends, made our surprise appearance to one of the school assembly's dressed as mobsters.

John made me a gluten free cheese that was out of this world. One of the best ever. We so enjoyed playing games with Karen and John the last 2 years since I´ve been back in NJ. You were just so funny when we were together. Love always, Aunt Kitty.
