Elsie Ann Lizzio

Elsie Ann Lizzio (Ann), nee Zanich, age 78, of Rancho Mirage, California passed away on January 9, 2024, after a brief illness. Ann was surrounded by family. She was married to James R. (Jim) Lizzio who predeceased her in June 2022.
Ann was a devoted wife who put her husband's needs before her own. Ann and Jim enjoyed many warm friendships while residing at the Rancho La Quinta Club, in La Quinta, California. As avid golfers, Ann and Jim would spend time golfing with their friends and enjoying dinners together.
Ann earned her real estate license and became a very successful property manager while living in San Diego. Eventually, she moved to Orange County and started Western Transdata (WTI), a disk duplication company that met the needs of many large technology corporations including Peter Norton. She eventually sold the company and moved to La Quinta, California.
Ann is greatly loved by the Lizzio family. Reunions of the extended family have been held for more than 50 consecutive years. She hosted two reunions in California (Costa Mesa and Palm Springs) and one in Italy! Development and management of the family tree were very important to her and Ann was knowledgeable about everyone in the extended family. She took great joy in sending beautiful cards to everyone in the family to celebrate birthdays. Ann also arranged a surprise 50th birthday party for Jim in Hawaii where she flew in friends and family. She orchestrated the whole event and managed to keep it a secret until they exited the plane in Maui.
Ann was an animal lover who had many pets over her lifetime. Rescuing and adopting dogs was a passion of hers which gave Ann great joy. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends.
Ann is survived by her stepson, John Lizzio of Kalaheo, Hawaii, and many members of the extended Lizzio family. A service for Ann will be held with the family in August. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
