John Scott Oldag, 71, of Griffin, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born in Griffin, September 19, 1952, he was a son of the late Russell Van and Anna Emily Williams Oldag. Scott was retired after over twenty years of service from American Motel Management where he was an accountant. He enjoyed his Ford Mustang and listening to classic Rock and Roll music. Scott loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a former member of First Baptist Church Griffin.
Survivors include his daughter, Valerie Wilkinson and husband Jerrit of Martinez; grandchildren, Tyler Tarleton and wife Jordyn of Tacoma, WA, Liam Wilkinson and Jaxon Wilkinson, both of Martinez; a great-grandchild, Kayden Tarleton of Tacoma, WA; brothers, Larry Oldag of Williamson and Michael Van Oldag and wife Alice of Diamond Bar, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Cryptside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery with Reverend Ron Murray officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
