John is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Arlene, son Ron (Barb) Olson, daughter Linda (Mel) Lindeman, Granddaughter Michele (Chris) Craig, and great granddaughter Morgan Craig. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Viola Olson and Jeanette Kozicki, son Don Olson, brothers Lin Olson, Jim Hoffman, and sister Edith Defoe.
He was born July 12, 1932 in Lewistown, PA. After graduating from Lewistown High School in 1950, he joined the Air Force where he served for two years. He worked at the Ohio Injector in Wadsworth, OH, and later retired from Goodyear Aerospace. After retirement he enjoyed his lake house in Port Clinton, OH where he would spend summers fishing with his friends. He was an active member of the American Legion, VFW, and Eagles. John enjoyed hunting with his best friend Mike, fishing, and watching his great granddaughter play soccer.
Calling hours will be Monday June 2 from 4-6pm Hilliard Rospert Funeral home, and the funeral will be Tuesday June 3 at 11 am.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Arlene, Linda, Michele, Morgan and the entire family during this tremendous loss. Grandpa was such a fun- loving gentle man who was loved by so many the first time you met him.
