Jeffrey Allen Potter, 59, of Wadsworth, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, August 13th, after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 2, 1966, to Kathleen M. (Bowser) Potter and John Wirbickas, and was later adopted by his stepfather, David E. Potter.
Jeff graduated from Brunswick High School in 1985, and following graduation, he served in the Ohio National Guard. He attended the University of Akron, then the University of Toledo, where he earned his degree in Pharmacy.
Jeff and his former wife, Sujata Patel, raised four kids together and owned and operated a compounding pharmacy, where they helped numerous patients, both human and animal.
Jeff was a lover of the outdoors, an animal whisperer, and could tell you the name of any plant or tree in sight. He loved his kids more than anything and spent lots of time teaching them to love nature and animals, too. He was an avid Cub Scout leader and heavily involved in his church, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Potter; four children, Sonia (Jason) Jurkowski, Tyler (Kelly) Potter, Casey Potter, and Sydney Potter; siblings Ruth (Mark) Zader, John (Dori) Potter, Annette Baker, David (Danielle) Potter and Bernadette (Robert) Giancarlo; best friends Larry Wizorek and Jim Kraft; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeff was preceded in death by his birth father John Wirbickas, sister Bridget Potter, grandparents John and Ruth (Hranka) Bowser, and many beloved pets.
Calling hours will take place on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. in Wadsworth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Wadsworth on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00 am, followed by internment at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville.
