John Edward Perrin

On December 30, 2024, God called one of his best home. John Perrin was born to Raymond Edward "Pete" and Bonnie Dean (Barrett) Perrin on January 27, 1960 in Marceline, MO.
He was united in marriage on September 1, 1983, to the love of his life Annie Shumate. She was blessed to be his "Beloved" for 41 years.
John was one of a kind and met his Lord Jesus in 1982. He loved the Lord with all his heart. John loved to read God's Word. When he picked up his Bible he could block out everything else. He would find special verses or something "new" and mark the spot so he could share it with his "Beloved"
John spoke his mind and loved to tell stories. His teenage years were spent making some of his favorite memories with his friends, Mike Simons, Debo Gulley and Robi Bohonsky.
He loved the farm and the "critters". He always had a new project cooking in his brain. If you showed up you were going to be put to work. John loved people and would cry when the St. Jude's commercial came on the television. He would give and do anything for everyone.
John was a very precious soul and his deep resounding laugh will never be forgotten. If you heard it once you would always remember it.
He is survived by his "Beloved"; one aunt, Betty Slater of Brookfield; two sisters-in-law, Yo (Ed) Frazier, DeDe (Chuck) Mohr both of Marceline, MO; one brother-in-law, C.J. (Maggie) Koechner of Paola, KS, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Sarah Dean Perrin and beloved nephew, C.W. Mohr.
He will be so missed but his favorite scripture was "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"--2Corinthians 5:8 Lets remember that as we grieve. He is with the Lord and having quite a reunion in heaven and he would love to see all of you there as well.
A memorial service will be Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 3 pm at the Bethany Baptist Church in Marceline, MO. Visitation will be from 2pm until the time of the service on Sunday. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline, MO.
