Mr. Pettinelli was born on November 25, 1942 in Rome, a son of the late Dominick and Jennie Pettinelli. He graduated From Rome Free Academy in 1961. On August 28, 1999, John was united in marriage with the former Kelly Thomas at the United Methodist Church in Rome. John owned and operated J.A. Car Wash in Rome for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, classic cars and using his CB Radio's.
Survivors include five Children, Lisa Pettineli, John Pettinelli, Zackery Pettinelli (Brianna Carcone) of Hoffmeister, Kayla (Austin) Wheatley of Poland, and Desiree Dust (Joe Gonyea) of Hoffmeister; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Aiden, Gianna, Harper, Victoria, Brynlee and Lincoln; and a best friend, Barb Northrup of Rome. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by two sisters, Gloria Dominico and Olivia Vanemin.
A calling hour at the Autenrith Funeral Home, 7479 Main Street will be Friday, November 18th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with service at 11:00a.m.. Spring interment will take place in Morehouse Cemetery.

Uncle Johnny was a Great Uncle and Great Friend! He took me fishing and camping when I was a kid. A Great Guy!

I will always have fond, warm, memories of John. It has been many years since I have seen him. So sorry to hear of his passing. Lisa and John (and their mom), family, he was a very dear friend.
