John J. "Jack" Robbins

John J. "Jack" Robbins died peacefully at home on May 28, 2024, his wife Barbara by his side. He was 87 years old.
Jack grew up in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Mastbaum High School. He was a member of the Army National Guard, serving as a heavy weapons infantry man. Jack was educated as a Mechanical Engineer, achieving a 30-year career as a valued asset to his employer, Rois Manufacturing. He left Rois, working another 20 years as a Quality Control Engineer for Jenn Manufacturing. After retirement, he served as a respected engineering consultant to other companies until the day he died.
Jack devoted his life to loving the Lord and his family. He and Barb married in 1960, settling in Northeast Philadelphia. They were very active in their community at Good Shepherd United Methodist church. Jack was the first to volunteer to help in all ways needed, and he prioritized his roles in supporting the congregation.
To his family Jack was a provider, a problem solver, and teacher. He will be long remembered as the man to turn to for advice, his ability to fix anything, a great laugh, a warm hug, and needed prayer. He was truly the best Pop to all of his grandchildren. Jack had many hobbies during his life. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Phillies, stamp collecting, coin collecting, and had a collection of Hess trucks and Texaco planes. But of all his hobbies, Jack had a lifelong love for model trains. He collected them, fixed them, built platforms and accessories, and was a member of the Train Club at Ann's Choice. He took great pride in setting up the annual holiday train display.
Jack was the beloved husband of Barbara Robbins, his loving wife of 63 years; devoted father of Jack Robbins and Kelly Robbins Veit; beloved father-in-law to Lorraine Robbins and Tom Veit; and adored "Pop" to Tommy, Jesse, Jade and Brock Veit and Phoebe and Lorelei Robbins.
Family and friends are invited to Jack's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. until his Memorial Service begins at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel at Ann's Choice, located at 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
Jack will be interred privately with full military honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
