John Ross Jr.

John Ross, Jr., age 81 of Vassar, passed away on June 4, 2025, in the comforts of his home and with his wife by his side. He was born in Alabama on November 7, 1943. John was an avid bowler. The lanes were his sanctuary and every strike he threw carried pride, joy, and love for the game. John had eight perfect 300 games and seven 299 games. John had a deep love for his family and his beloved pets. When he wasn't bowling, he enjoyed fishing mixed with afternoon naps, video games, and playing UNO No Mercy.
John is survived by his wife of 18 years, Suzette Ross; his children LaMott (Deborah), Dwayne, Michael (Dawn) Londale (Deirdre), Cassandra (Keith) Jennifer (Michael), Jayme (Matt), Jacob (Jenna), Jaylee (Mat), Jasa (Kujo); 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his mother Bertha Ross and his daughter Lisa.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. at B's Bowling Center, 750 S. Center Rd. Flint, MI 48506. Luncheon will be provided, cash bar is available.
