Gary Francis Miles, 86, passed peacefully at his home on July 8th,2025, with family close by. Gary was born in Flint, MI, on April 15, 1939, the son of Howard and Donna Miles. He graduated in 1957 from Lapeer High School and later obtained his associate's degree from Flint Jr. College. Gary met, fell in love with, and married Shirley Reamer on July 27, 1963. Together, they raised four sons whom Gary cherished dearly. Gary was employed at the Davison State Bank, where he ended his career with 40 years of banking service.

Gary's hobby was deep with the adoration of the automobile. He loved to restore and drive Model A Fords, as well as his favorite 1936 Ford Coupe. He was a proud member and president of the Script A. Model A. Club, and also an active member of the LakeVille Music Boosters. Gary was also a great fan of the Detroit Tigers. He loved his seven grandchildren and attending their various events ,ballgames, karate competitions, choir, and school plays.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory his adoring wife of sixty-one years, Shirley; cherished sons, Gary Miles and girlfriend Laurie, David Miles and girlfriend Nora. Jeffrey (Sandi) Miles, Troy Miles and girlfriend Linda ;beloved grandchildren Eric (Amanda) Miles, Daniel (Jessica) Miles, Cody Miles, Micaela Miles, Alyssa Miles, Melody Miles, Justin Kanters; 9 great-grandchildren ;siblings Jerry (Faye) Markley, Daniel (Debra) Markley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents; sisters Beverly Markley, Sandy Markley, and brother Richard Markley.

Friends may visit on Sunday, July 13, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Lynch &Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. Pastor Rob McPherson will officiate. Gary will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer. Memorial donations may be directed towards the American Diabetes Association.
