John Benhart Schaap IV, age 51, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, sadly left this life on Thursday, August 31, 2023. He was born on September 8th, 1971, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to his parents John and Gloria (Norvell) Schaap. John was a proud Arkansas Razorback fan and had a family-owned business called B & B Grease. He was known for his love of family gatherings and was remembered as a good man who was always willing to help others. John is survived by his wife, Mandee Schaap, his son, Andrew Yockum, and his step-daughter, Hannah Alexander, as well as his grandchild, Kash Alexander. He is also survived by his father, John Schaap, and stepmother, Patricia Schaap, as well as his brother, Barry Schaap. John had a special bond with his dog, Hanksey, who was his lifelong companion. John's mother, Gloria Schaap, and his grandparents, Norman and Mildred Norvell, preceded him in death. He will be missed by his family and friends, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Service under the direction of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
