John-Michael Shelby (John John)
John-Michael Shelby, 15, of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, passed away on October 26, 2023, at home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. John-John was born on March 15, 2008, he was a beloved son, grand-son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
John- John was a Momma's boy who brought joy to everyone around him. He had a special bond with his father and enjoyed spending time with him fishing, indulging his passion for the outdoors. He attended Hillcrest High School, he actively participated in Hillcrest Middle School Band.
John-John is survived by his mother, Christina Lee Franks (Kurt Savoie), his father James Ryan Shelby, his brother Dylan Mitchell Shelby (Maria), his sister Dakota Lee Franks-Garner, his stepsiblings Jackie and Junior Dennis, April McClellan, and Lisa and Devin Johnson. He was also cherished by his grandparents Kevin and Tammy Franks, Andy Graves (Vera), David Shelby (Karen), Kimberly Shelby, and Bonnie Hallman. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Logan Trenchard (Ashley), Jeremy Hooks (Bridget) Keaton Stricklin (Ravin), Tara Franks, Harley Graves, Wesley Owens (Ashley), Johnathon Graves (Lori). Great-Grandparent Karen Marzell Franks and he shared a special bond with his cousin and best friend Caleb Boyd. John-John was a loving uncle to his special niece Briley Lele Murry.
In his free time, John-John enjoyed fishing, welding, and woodworking. These hobbies allowed him to express his creativity and connect with his love for the outdoors. John-John was also a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Youth Group, where he found spiritual guidance and support.
In memory of John-Michael Shelby, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to Seek His Kingdom Ministry at 15128 Sunset Drive, Northport, Alabama. These contributions will honor John John's memory and support a cause close to his heart.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm at RidgeCrest Baptist Church with a visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church. The family would like to remind everyone that this is a celebration of life and request that you dress casually as John-John would have wanted.
