John L. Shuttic, 79, of Brookfield, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 1, 2024, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
John was born September 13, 1945, in Warren, a son of the late John and Julia (Bizilo) Shuttic, and was a graduate of Howland High School. John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who proudly served his country and was stationed in Turkey during Vietnam.
He was employed at Packard Electric in Warren, OH, retiring in 1999 after 30 years of service.
A devout Catholic, John was presently a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Greenville, and previously attended the Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon for 40 years. John had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He also loved being outdoors while working in his yard or fishing, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
His beloved wife of 47 years, Lyndora "Lynn" (Slavic) Shuttic, whom he married April 23, 1977, in St. Michaels Church, Greenville, PA, survives at their home in Brookfield, OH.
He is also survived by a brother, Donald E. Shuttic, and his wife Judith, Cortland, OH; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Lammers and her husband, Jack, Hartford, OH, and Rose Ann Hoffman and her husband, Clyde "Kip," Greenville, PA. He is also survived by four nieces, Heather Langmeyer (Paul), Annie Rajaraman (Raj), Julie Haffele (Brad), and Melissa Baker (Josh); and two nephews, Philip Lammers (Kristin) and Matthew Hoffman (Jinna); and several great-nieces and great-nephews. John will also be sorely missed by his fur-baby, Gracie Mae, who was his loving and constant companion.

Calling hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday (10-8-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. Online condolences may be sent to www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Tuesday (10-8-24) in St. Michael's Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA, with Rev. Brandon Kleckner, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Michael's Cemetery, Greenville.
Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery.
