In 1988 we all took a trip to Meredith, NH to my mother's house. Were John and I went ice fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee. It was Feb. school vacation time. He liked the fact drilling holes in the ice and setting up ice fishing tip ups. Running to trap to trap when the tips popped up. Subzero temperature no less. His nana showed up with some hot chocolate and said the wind chill was getting down quickly to -40 degrees. Time to pack in. We were using minnows for bait, and we had some left so John said there freezing in the bucket, so he set them loose in the fishing hole to give them a chance to live. Thats a fond memory how precious they are.

The day he was born. Weeks afterward his mother and I took him to have this picture taken. At a sears store where they had photographer. There were no cell phones back then which could have snaped all kinds of pics like today. I remember his little fingers squeezing mine tightly. Saying that's my boy. John Michael

John Michael, you are and will forever be in my heart. I will carry you in my heart to my last breath. I will mourn for a while, but I know where you are now. (Matthew 5:4) My prayer was to know that you would for all eternity be in Heaven. God confirmed that for us while we prayed over you in the hospital, despite your condition at the time. If I could, I would have swapped places with you. But that wasn´t to be - you told me "stop it dad". You had God´s peace. (Philippians 4:7). I love you and miss you, but I know I will see you again in eternity. Love you son. Dad
