John Tanis Obituary
Born on January 23, 1948 to Edwin M. Tanis and Eleanor L. Tanis in Paterson, N.J., John graduated from Onteora High School in Boiceville, NY.
John was married once to Catherine Sklarsky Tanis and they had no children.
He worked for Conrail Consolidated Rail Corp and before retiring from his construction and trucking duties.
John was an avid golfer and bicyclist and loved working on his homes and going to concerts.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Eleanor Tanis, John is survived by his brothers, Walter and Gary Tanis; niece, Kara; and nephew, Barrett.
