Johnny Dees, Jr., age 79, of Baxley who passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
Mr. Dees was born April 13, 1942 in Uvalda to the late John C. Dees and the late Sadie Jones Dees. He was a self employed Timber Producer and was preceded in death by his sisters, Pete Dees, Becky Vaughn, Joann Peterson, Jackie Foskey, Marion Dixon,Lucy Sammons and brothers, Dwight Dees and Bobby Dees.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Blanton Dees of Baxley; daughters & a son-in-law, Amy Pitts of Baxley and Karen & Roger Anderson of Petross; sons & daughter-in-law, Chad Allen and John III & Debbie Dees both of Baxley; brothers, Jerry Dees and Aubrey Dees both of Cedar Crossing. Seven grandchildren, Jake Pitts, Kesley Pitts, Jared Allen, Caroline Allen, J.C. Dees, Kalem Anderson and Kelby Anderson and three great-great grandchildren, CindyKate Anderson, Jaxson Pitts and Liam Pitts also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Reece Mincey and Rev. Joey Andrews officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedar Crossing Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jake Pitts, J.C. Dees, Jared Allen, Kalem Anderson, Ken Wiggins, Stewart Nencioni and Bruce Nail.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
