Jolene Kay (Lloyd) Thompson, 56, of Collinsville, Ok, passed away on Saturday September 11th from COVID-19 complications at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.
Jolene was born October 12, 1964 to Billie Earl Lloyd and Janice Eilleen (Russell) Lloyd in Tulsa, OK. She has lived in the Collinsville area all her life residing as an adult across the street from her childhood home. Jolene and Gregory Thompson married October 11, 1998 and were blessed with almost 23 years of marriage. They were lucky enough to have 3 daughters Cynthia Jack, Becky Tacherra, and Heather Thompson.
Jolene was a Registered Nurse for more than 25 years working at several area hospitals and clinics. As a nurse she loved caring for patients and learning their stories.
Jolene had a love of life and was so full of energy with an unforgettable personality. You would always know when she entered a room. She traveled the world and enjoyed good food. She never sat still for very long because there was so much to see and do. She especially loved spending time with her family. Her kids and grandkids were her pride and joy and she told everyone about them. She always said her favorite kind of day was a family day.
Jolene is preceded in death by her parents Billie and Janice and her son-in-law Michael Jack.
She is survived by her husband Gregory Thompson, her children Cynthia Jack, Becky and Jacob Tacherra, and Heather Thompson plus her grandchildren Mackenna Jack, James Tacherra, Cora Jack, Mirren Jack, and Conlan Jack. Her sister Patricia McCombs and brother John Lloyd as well as many extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home in Collinsville on Sunday September 19th from 1:30-6 and family will be in attendance. Her service will be Monday September 20th at 10AM at Christ United Methodist Church located at 3515 S. Harvard Ave in Tulsa, with interment to follow at 12PM at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Ok. The family will receive visitors afterwards.
