Jonathan Andrew "Jon" Sorrell

Jonathan Andrew "Jon" Sorrell, age 52 of Indianapolis went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2023. He was born January 25, 1971 in Indianapolis the son of Raymond and Carole (McKinney) Sorrell. Jon was a 1989 graduate of North Putnam High School. He loved working for TCC Software Solution and was a hard working employee. Jon liked art, welding and taking care of his plants. He married Linda on June 9, 2012 in Indianapolis. Jon liked to watch movies, especially science fiction and playing games with his family. He loved Christmas time, his family, but most of all he truly loved God.
Jon is survived by his wife, Linda Sorrell; mother, Carole Sorrell; 3 children, Evan Sorrell, Hailey Sorrell and Kara Sorrell; step-son, Jordan Lewis; brother, Richard (wife Roberta) Sorrell; and grandchild, Charlie Lewis.
Jon is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sorrell.
A funeral service honoring Jon's life and faith will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Franklin Road Baptist Church, 51 N Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46219. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. Following his funeral Jon will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses, American Cancer Society or the Lupus Foundation.
