Jordan Patrick Dwyer, 26, of Plano, Texas was born on October 10, 1997, in Rockford, Illinois. God called him home on February 9, 2024, to expand his love and passion for life, family, and friends from above. Jordan grew up in Plano and was a graduate of Plano West Senior High School in 2016. He went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Oklahoma in 2020, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Jordan was loving the start of his professional career working as a Development Associate for Hillwood Communities in Dallas, Texas.
A loving son, brother, uncle (JoJo) and friend, Jordan touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his positivity, caring nature, and beautiful smile. Jordan was an avid outdoorsman who loved boating, hunting, fishing, and golf. He had a passion for sports and fitness, and rarely missed a workout. He loved spending time with his family and friends, adored his three beautiful nieces, and passionately defended his Sooners when outnumbered by his Horned Frog and Longhorn family. The Dwyer family is so proud that Jordan chose to give the gift of life through organ donation, as he will continue to impact others both spiritually and physically.
Jordan is survived by his parents John and Jeanna Dwyer; along with his brother Alec Dwyer, all of Plano, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Kelsey and Caten Hyde, and their three children Reese, Leighton, and Presley of Austin, Texas; and his beloved dog, Ranger. He is also survived by grandparents Jeanette Hoppenjans of Belleville, Ilinois, Susie and Bill Elder of Memphis, Tennessee, and Karen Dwyer of Sullivan, Illinois; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Jack Hoppenjans of Belleville, Illinois, paternal grandfather Jim Dwyer of Sullivan, Illinois, and his uncle Don Miller of Belleville, Illinois.
The family will receive friends for a one-hour visitation, at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024. Followed by a memorial mass at 2:00 p.m.at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas, 75023 with The Rev. Bruce Bradley officiating. Jordan was a fiercely loyal friend and always found a reason to smile and laugh. We could go months without talking and we would pick back up right where we left off like I´d just talked to him the day before. He had a special quality about him that made people feel special when they were around him. His happiness and laughter was contagious. He was an amazing friend, son and uncle to many.

It was 2018, I was in Chicago for my 21st birthday to watch the Bears host the Packers with a chance to clinch the division title with a win (Bears did end up winning). Jordan and Landon were both in Chicago as well that same weekend. We met up later that night after the game. We were all decked out in Bears gear. It was a Sunday night, most people had work the next day but we didn´t care. We were so excited. We barhopped all night long together. Jordan and Landon really went out of their way to make my 21st birthday super memorable and special. They took time out of their own vacation and trip to spend it on me. It was to this day probably the best birthday I´ve ever had. That´s the kind of guys they both were. Completely selfless and loved making others happy. I love and miss Jordan very dearly

I first met Jordan on couch 4 dorms at OU. Him and Caleb were roommates so I met them both at the same time. The next day we were in the same walking group touring all the fraternities for rush week. Little did I know a few days later we would both be Sig Eps. Furthermore all 3 of us (myself, Caleb and Jordan) ended up sharing the same big brother in the fraternity. Jordan and I instantly clicked as we shared many common interests. Working out, sports, and most importantly, the Chicago Bears. What a small world I thought to meet another Bears fan in Texas/Oklahoma let alone this guy would become one of my best friends. He was a fiercely loyal friend and an amazing person. I´m not sure I´ll meet anyone ever again quite like him.

I only had the privilege of meeting Jordan on one occasion which was at a Hillwood retreat. He always had a smile and seemed to love life. It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one especially one who was so young and who made such a positive impact on everyone around him. We now have one beautiful angel looking down watching out for us. Please take comfort in knowing what an inspiring individual Jordan was and that he will be loved and missed but that he is now with our Heavenly Father. Family and friends are in my prayers!
