Our beloved son, Jordan Michael Lyons, was sent to his eternal home on August 12, 2025 at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin at the age of 35. Born on January 5, 1990 at Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee, Jordan was raised in Delafield, Wisconsin and Cape Coral, Florida.
Jordan was larger than life. He was an incredibly hard worker, would give anyone the shirt off his back, and loved his family fiercely. He was a die-hard Packer fan, loved golf and spending time with his friends and family. He was unapologetically himself. His unexpected passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and co-workers and others who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jordan is survived by his four beautiful children McKenna, Jase, Ava and Kyler, fiancé Jordan, parents Rob and Monica, and brothers Noah (Jaide) & Austin (Celina). He also leaves behind his grandmothers Diana and Christine, uncles Matthew (Rebecca), Michael (Holly), Michael (Maurita) and John, and loving cousins Dylan, Hailey, Leah, Kiera and Colin and niece Aaniyah. Preceded in death by Gordon, Marilyn, Lester, Jerry and Irene.
It would take 1,500 yellow jacket stings to result in fatality for someone without allergies. It took one yellow jacket to take our beautiful son’s life. Jordan was an organ donor. While approximately 60% of people in the US are registered organ donors, only 1% actually become donors. Our son was one of them. We are blessed to have known and loved this hero.
To every person who showed up at the hospital, many of you for days on end, we’ll never forget. For all of you who called, sent a text or simply said a prayer in Jordan’s name, thank you. To all of the amazing staff at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, for all of your efforts, patience, and care, we are forever grateful. Finally, we are thankful to the Versiti staff who helped us navigate the organ donor process with such care and compassion.
Jordan’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21. Visitation will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm with a service at 3:00 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Church, N36 W24130 Pewaukee Rd Hwy 164, Pewaukee, WI 53072.
In lieu of flowers, donations in support of Jordan’s family are appreciated.
