Jose I Reyes, Jr.
June 8, 1962 – April 25, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Reyes on April 25, 2025, at the age of 62. The first of five children born on June 8, 1962, to parents Jose I. Reyes and Ofelia Reyes. He was a proud graduate of Riverside High School and continued his education at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).
Jose devoted much of his life to his family and their beloved business, Pepe’s Tamales, where he worked with care and dedication. Known affectionately as “Uncle Joe” to many, he had a warm heart, a kind soul, and a deep love for tradition, good food, and family.
A loyal and constant companion to his parents throughout their lives, Jose’s presence was a comforting and familiar one—steadfast, loving, and always willing to lend a hand. He brought joy and laughter to every family gathering and will be remembered for his easygoing spirit, generous nature, and unmistakable chuckle.
Jose is survived by his loving siblings: Jorge, Javier, Jessica and Jaime, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends who will deeply miss him.
Rest easy, Uncle Joe. You will always be in our hearts.
