ANGUS, JOSEPH "DAVE" – of Davison, age 89, passed away on September 11, 2025 at StoryPoint, Fenton. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI, 48423; Rev. Kenneth R. Marsh officiating. Interment will be in Flint Memorial Park following the service. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
Dave was born in Flint, MI on January 25, 1936, the son of Dave and Almena Angus. He married Mildred (Millie) Angus on December 26, 1959, in Flint, MI.
His life was dedicated to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He continuously strove to find ways to serve others in a manner that pleased God and pointed others to Him. That desire to help others and dedication to the Lord drove him to be the hardest working man I have ever known. He was a standout basketball player at Kearsley growing up and returned to be a teacher, counselor and administrator in that same school district for 36 years. However, the most significant event in his life happened through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in college when he met his Lord and Savior and who he is now enjoying eternity with. Nothing was more important to him than his relationship to Him.
Dave is survived by his two sons: John (Lynn) and Mike, as well as four grandchildren: Xavier, Alexis, MacKenzie, and Brennan, and two great grandchildren: Emma and Ryla, plus another beautiful girl soon. He was preceded to glory by his wife Mildred, his wife of 63 years.
