Joseph D. Babij

Joseph D. Babij, age 96, of Levittown, passed away on October 7, 2023, at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home in Philadelphia.
Born to Polish immigrants, Piotr and Magdalena (Blacha) Babij in Taylor, PA, Joe was a resident of Levittown since 1953. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Until his retirement in 1987, Joe worked at USX Fairless Works for 35 years. He then worked at Toy R US as maintenance until 2011. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel parish where he also assisted with the CCD program. Joseph was the former President of the Legion of Mary.
Joe was known for his warm personality, faith, and sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh so he was always ready to share a joke. Joe was very handy and creative; he especially loved to work on cars, electronics, and his many household projects.
Joe was the beloved husband of the late Mary Louise (nee Kippycash).
He was the loving father of Joseph M. and his wife, Patricia Babij of Trenton NJ; Mary T. and her husband, Michael Paskanik, of Langhorne; Barbara and her husband, the late Joseph Drejerwski of Langhorne; and the late Michael G. and his wife, Donna Babij.
Dziadzi will be sadly missed by his 9 Grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Jenny, Michael, Daniel, Julia, Donna Jean (Troy), Mary (Joseph), Stephanie, Cassandra, and the late Barbara and John Daniel.
Joe was the proud Pradziadzi of, Elijah, Leah, Tanner, and Piper.
Joe was the 9th of 10 children. Predeceased by his brothers, John, Andrew, Stanley, Walter, and Chester; and his sisters, Sister Agathon (Rose), Bernice, Stephanie, and Angie. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to his Life Celebration on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beck Givnish Life Celebration Home 7400 New Falls Rd. Levittown, Pa.
Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem PA.
