Joseph H. Cottle of Harwich, MA passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 23.
Joe is survived by his parents Paul and Jeanmarie and his brother Owen, all of Harwich. He is also survived by his extended family.
Joe was born in Concord, MA and grew up in nearby Townsend until moving to Harwich in 2014. He graduated from Monomoy Regional H.S. in 2020. He then attended UMass Amherst and graduated from the Isenberg School of Management with a bachelor's degree of Business Administration in Finance in 2024. He had been recently hired as an accountant.
His Mom will always treasure walking with him and their dog Lily at the beach. Joe loved playfully running up and down the beach with Lily. Joe was a kind and witty person and will be terribly missed every day.
Joe loved playing sports. He played soccer, dek hockey, basketball, and little league. By high school, he played and trained for baseball year round and became a starting varsity pitcher early on.
The Cottle family has been shown immense love and support from neighbors, friends, co-workers and family to which we are very grateful.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the first responders who did everything they possibly could to help us and took the situation seriously and without delay
