Joseph P. Davis, 77, of Cranston, passed away Monday March 17th, following a brief illness.
He was the beloved husband of Karen Nappi Davis for almost 37 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ralph and Catherine (Suess) Davis.
Mr. Davis was a social worker at Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired for the State of Rhode Island for 25 years before retiring. In his younger years, he was a personal trainer. He enjoyed participating in triathlons, mountain climbing and hiking, and his favorite time of year was Christmas. It was not unusual to see Christmas decorations up in September or October.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jonathon Davis; a sister Mary Davis; and he was the beloved brother-in-law of Michael and Karianne Nappi.
Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Thursday March 20th, from 4:00 pm -6:00 pm, followed by words of remembrance at 6 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Liver Foundation, 116 Johnny Cake Hill Rd, Middletown, RI 02842 or ASPCA 186 Amaral St, Riverside, RI 02915
