- A Life Well Lived and Deeply Loved -
Joseph John Dunlap 61, of Windham, NH, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe leaves behind his friend and loving wife of 28 years, Lori (Barone) Dunlap, and his proudest joys in life, his two sons, Joseph and Jake Dunlap of Windham, NH. He was the beloved son of the late Mary (Traficante) and Joseph Dunlap, and cherished son-in-law of Janet and Brad Barone.
He is survived by his loving sisters and brothers-in-law: Sharon and Steven DeMarco of Meredith, NH; Rita and Stephen Schultz of Salem, NH; and Kathleen MacPhee of Hampstead, NH. He was also a dear brother-in-law to Audrey (Barone) and Michael Bell of Otis, Maine, Scott Barone of Windham, NH and Jack Barone of Atlanta, Georgia.
Joe was a proud uncle to Steven DeMarco, Katie DeMarco, Ashley and Michael Johnson, Stephen and Marie Schultz, Samantha and Madison MacPhee, Laila and Landen Barone and great-uncle to Stephen and Ava Schultz.
A devoted husband and father, Joe's life revolved around his family and friends. His time with his wife, Lori, was precious. Joe and Lori can be best described as "soul mates" who lived each day together to the fullest. Joe's proudest moments were in support of Joseph Jr. and Jake's hockey activities, cheering them on at the highest levels of hockey at The Ohio State University and more recently for Joseph Jr. as a professional player with the Laval Rockets, a minor league affiliate for the Montreal Canadiens.
Joe was also an avid outdoorsman and skilled entrepreneur. The same passion, patience and determination that served him in life and nature fueled his success in business. He relished every moment hunting and fishing with his sons and closest friends and co-lead two successful business endeavors, Reliable Security and AFTC, with his sister, Kathleen. Whether it be a tree stand or a white board, Joe was equally comfortable and at his best.
Joe was cherished by all who knew him. The impact he had on those around him will carry his legacy forward. He will always be deeply loved by his family and friends and will forever be in our hearts. We will miss you Joe.
