Joseph C. "Joe" Fricke

Joseph C. "Joe" Fricke, 68, of Warrenville, IL formerly of Naperville, IL passed away on July 21, 2023. He was born In Chicago, IL on September 19, 1954, the only child of the late Mary (Romozzi) Fricke and Joseph C. Fricke Sr.
He was the loving husband of Jackie Bellak Fricke. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on July 15. He was the devoted father of Joseph Jerome "Joey" Fricke and father-in-law of Megan Engel Fricke. He was the doting grandfather of Bauer Fricke. Joe was also a kind and loving brother-in-law, as well as uncle and great-uncle. Joe also leaves behind many dear relatives and numerous cousins near and far.
Joe grew up in Chicago. He attended Lane Tech High School, class of 1973. After graduation he attended Triton College where he earned an associates degree in graphic arts. He then attended Governors State University and Illinois State University.
Joe lived across the street in Chicago from Jackie and they attended the same elementary school. They dated through high school and college. After they were married in 1978, they lived in Chicago before moving first to Downers Grove then to Naperville. They also lived for a few years in Madison while Joe was working in Wisconsin.
Joe always took care of others whenever he could. He loved to cook and grill. His specialties included salsa, sub sandwiches, green eggs and ham, and sausage and peppers.
Grandson Bauer was the joy of his life. Joe loved to do numerous activities with Bauer such as reading, building projects, playing make believe, water balloons, cooking, and making slime. And Bauer loved to tease and kid with his Bop-Bop.
Joe was a well-known mentor and answer man in the printing industry and was always willing to help solve problems with precision and patience. He loved planning and coordinating services among the various facets of the graphics arts industry. He was involved in the industry for almost 50 years working in Chicago at Service Web Offset, Service Communications and most currently at Mittera Group. Joe touched the lives of many coworkers and business associates in the printing industry in numerous states.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday July 30, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Friedrich Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. Services on Monday July 31, 2023, will begin with a Procession from the Funeral Home departing at 10:00 AM and going to the Mass of Christian Burial at St Thomas Church in Naperville the Mass will begin at 10:30AM.
