Joseph Vincent Grande, Joe, of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was 87 years young.
He lived his own American dream. Marrying the love of his life, Arlene Pastore. Being father to 5 children, Survivors: His wife, Arleen Grande (nee Pastore); children, Dean Grande (Tracy), Lisa Maas (Scott), Dana Howard (Chris), Elana Grande, and Daren Grande (Alicia); grandchildren, Max, Nick, Parker, Cooper, Abbey, Jake, Ben, Gavin, Ty, and Brooklyn; and greatgrandchild, Tolley, all who loved and revered him. He and his bride of 62 years raised their family in the same home in Broomall for nearly 60 years. He became a pillar of the community and was respected by all who knew him.
Joe immigrated from Cuba in the 1940s. He enlisted in the Army and later joined the Navy in 1956 and served his country during the Korean War and for many years thereafter in the Naval reserves eventually reaching the rank of Chief. He traveled the world, jumped out of planes and was a true American hero.
Joe enjoyed restoring antique cars, golfing, all Philadelphia professional sport teams and supported several community and charitable organizations and was a published author.
Family and Friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life on Sunday November 3, from 10-1pm at The Carriage Barn at Liseter
