Joseph passed away suddenly at the age of 61 in Sachse, Texas, on March 29th, 2024.
Joe, his wife Andrea and kids loved to come to Arco to visit Joe's parents, Bob and Ann Karr and his siblings.
Joe would get to Arco, strap a gun on his hip, because only in Arco can you do that and no one cares, then go get his fishing license. When asked how he was doing he would say "Loving Life my friend" or "Fire in the hole" if he was out shooting, especially with the nieces and nephews. He also loved to say "Go big or go home". He always ended a phone call with "I Love You" so if something happened no one would ever wonder if he loved them.
Joe was an MP in the Army and was top shot on Post three years in a row and was stationed in Korea in the late "80's". Joe married his love, Andrea DeMots on July 2nd 2000. They lived in California then moved to Texas. They retired and bought an RV so they could travel where and when they wanted.
Joe is survived by his wife Andrea Karr and sons Ben Roeter Karr and Wyatt Karr; sisters Carrie Goffard of Arco, Idaho, and JoAnn Craten of Ammon, Idaho; nieces and nephews, Dan, Jess, Chase and Alyssa Goffard, Sarah, and Paulie Craten, April Karr, Amber Anzalone and Keri Barthman.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ann Karr; brother, Mitch Karr; mother-in-law, Maury DeMots, along with grandparents and aunts and uncles.
Services will be held Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Anderson Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery immediately following the service. Food and celebration of Joe's life will be at his sister, Carrie Goffard's, house afterwards.
