Joseph T. Lisi, 101, of North Providence, passed away Monday April 21st, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Massarone) Lisi.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lena Lisi.
Mr. Lisi was employed by Universal Optical for many years, prior to retiring.
He served honorably in the United States Army during WW II, and was a life member of both the Amvets and American Legion. He was the past Commander of the Amvets Post #9, from 1970-1971. Also, he was a New York Yankees Fan.
He is survived by a son, Robert Lisi, and son-in-law, Darryl Superczynski; two grandsons, Darryl Superczynski and his wife Lisa and Dr. Christopher Superczynski; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Superczynski and Samantha Superczynski.
He was predeceased by his daughter Donna Marie Superczynski.
His funeral will be 10:00 am Tuesday April 29th from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence at followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Presentation Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours are Monday, April 28th 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Edward Food and Wellness Center, 1001 Branch Ave. Providence, RI 02904.
