Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park NorthJoseph “Joe” Michael Milton, age 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Joe was born June 5, 1959, to his parents, the late Thomas and Lucille Milton. He was a 1977 graduate of Whiteland High School. Joe went on to become a firefighter for the City of Franklin and a Deputy Sheriff for the Johnson County Sheriff’s office, graduating from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1988. He spent the rest of his years working in Information Technology, which came along with his love of computer games. He loved to travel on his Harley and made several trips across several states with his daughter and wife. He had a love for history that he passed down to his daughter; they would spend summers visiting historical sites or museums. Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Joseph was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and husband. He was preceded in death by his older brother Benjamin Milton. He was survived by his wife Barbara Milton, sister Lori (Mike) Sims, children Kathryn (Zachary) Smith, Steven (Amy) Tirsway, Tamie (Rob) Caulk, grandchildren Ivie Smith, Tyde Tirsway, Isla Tirsway, Lauren Caulk, Alyssia Caulk, Jaxen Caulk, Karlee Caulk, nieces and nephews, Micheal Milton, Carol Milton, Matthew Clark, Andrew (Sarah) Clark; Kaitlyn (Santo) Borrello, and Erik Sims.
Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 7 pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd W Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46228.
