Joseph B. Myers
LEIPSIC – Joseph B. Myers, 69, of Leipsic, passed away at 10:45 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus. He was born December 29, 1955, in Lima to the late Norman E. and Helen Jeanne (McCandless) Myers. On June 27, 1975, he married Nancy J. Cupp, who survives in Leipsic.
Other survivors include two children: Jaclyn (Jason Clark) Myers and Nicholas (Samantha) Myers, both of Leipsic; four grandchildren: Wyatt Myers, Isabelle Myers, Everly Myers and Whitley Clark; a brother, Gary (Patty) Myers of Deshler; a sister-in-law, Barbara Myers of Valdosta, GA; Dawn Badertscher of Leipsic; in-laws: Brian (Kari) Cupp of Arlington, Marcia and the late David Herring of Leipsic, Gayle Alexander of California and Vicky Myers of Deshler; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three siblings: Diane (Kenneth) Shidler, Norman Myers, Jr. and Dennis Myers; in-laws: Alan Cupp and Vicky Wittman; and a nephew, Greg Shidler.
Joseph was a retired mechanic. He was an avid motorcyclist and active member of the NCO Cushman Club. Joseph enjoyed flying airplanes all of his life and was a past member of the experimental aircraft association. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling and working in his garage. Above all, Joseph loved spending time with his family.
Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Tim Eding officiating. Burial will follow in West Belmore Cemetery, Belmore. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and again on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
