Joseph W. Rominski, 88, of Nanticoke, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Nanticoke, he was born Nov. 24, 1933, a son of the late William and Mary Negosh Rominski. He was a graduate of Nanticoke High School.
He was married to the former Cecelia Hrivnack for 52 years until her passing on Oct. 5, 2011.
Joseph had a long career as a buyer for Keyco Distributors. He was with the company for 60 years, retiring in 2019.
He was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish and formerly St. Stanislaus Church, prior to the consolidation of the parishes.
In addition to his wife, Cecelia, he was preceded in death by brothers, Francis and Stephen; and a sister, Eleanor.
He will be missed by his daughters, Lisa Brown and husband, James, Kensington, N.H.; and Cindy Smith and husband, Kenneth, Nanticoke; grandchildren, James Brown and wife, Kristen; Jamie Lee Shanahan and husband, Andy; Tyler Smith and wife, Nadine; Derik Smith and Kaitlyn Smith; great-grandchildren, Summer, Wynn, Stella and Camden; sisters, Patricia Baron and husband, Nick, Buttonwood; and Mary Ann Kielar and husband, Ronald, Nanticoke; and nieces and nephews.
A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke. Viewing and visitation hours will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.
Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery.

Fond memories of playdates back in the day at my Uncle Joe's. Over the years whenever I saw him he was sporting a smile and a kind word. Such a good man.
