Joshua "Josh" Allen Bergh, 38, of Albany, Oregon passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House, lovingly surrounded by family after a courageous eight-year battle with brain cancer. A loving husband, father, son, and friend, Josh was full of life, laughter, and unwavering faith.

Josh gave his life to the Lord at a young age, and his deep Christian faith was the foundation of everything he did. His faith shaped not only his character but also his approach to life's challenges.

Josh was born on December 13, 1986, in Corvallis, Oregon to Jeffery and Lori (Strupith) Bergh. He grew up in Albany, attending Albany Christian School through junior high and graduating from East Linn Christian Academy in 2005. Josh went on to study Biblical Studies at The Masters College in Santa Clarita, California before continuing his education at Oregon State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2011 and later attending Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California where he earned a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016. During his time at Western University, Josh was awarded the Saal Scholarship Award, awarded to only one student per class, who is the first generation in their family to pursue post-undergraduate training.

While in high school, Josh met the love of his life, Camille Boshart. The two were married on March 21, 2009, at Fairview Mennonite Church in Albany, with their reception held at Reser Stadium-home of the Oregon State Beavers, a team Josh faithfully cheered for throughout his life.

Josh had a deep passion for sports, rooting for the Oregon State Beavers, Portland Trail Blazers, and San Francisco 49ers. His love for the game was matched only by his love for his family and the people around him. He was a devoted friend and cherished the time spent with his close buddies, often attending games together and sharing in the joy and camaraderie that sports brought into their lives.

Josh is survived by his beloved wife, Camille; their two children, Claire (12) and Jude (9); his father, Jeff and his wife Lisa; his sister, Angie; and his maternal grandparents, John and Marie Strupith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lori Bergh; and his paternal grandparents, Jonas and Emma Jeanne Bergh.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made toward the college fund for Claire and Jude-a lasting tribute to Josh's devotion as a father and his belief in the power of education. Checks can be made out to Camille Bergh, and mailed to Fisher Funeral Home, c/o Camille Bergh, 306 SW Washington St, Albany, OR 97321.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for close family and friends to honor Josh's memory. Josh's legacy is one of love, perseverance and faith. He will be deeply missed by his wife Camille, children Claire and Jude, extended family, and all whose lives he touched.
