Joshua D’Angelo Carter departed the life at University Medical Center on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the age of 36. He was a native of Avondale, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Joshua earned his GED from Youth Challenge Program (YCP). He was employed as a Forklift Driver with Dufrene Building Materials of Belle Chasse, LA. He was a member of STR8 Wildin Bike Club. Beloved husband of Tedra Carter. Devoted father of Joshua Carter, Jr., J’Laysia Carter, and Shawn Robinson. Loving son of Constance Carter and James Smith. Cherished brother of Jacqueline and Jerinique Carter, and Thomas Smith. Uncle of the late Tru’Julez Carter. Nephew of Brenda Smith, Amanda Simmons, Melanie Simmons, Tara (Scottie) Johnson, and Walden (Carolyn) Carter. Godfather of E’magine Hawkins. Son-in-law of Theodolph and Marcia Videau. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, and a several aunts and uncles. Also cherishing his memories are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
