Joshua Kauth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home - Nekoosa on Oct. 21, 2024.
Josh was born on August 2, 1976, to Dayton and Colleen (Burgeson) Kauth in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He passed away on October 20, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a short, courageous battle with cancer. He never complained about his suffering.
Josh was a quiet, insightful, and thoughtful person of few words.
He graduated from Nekoosa High School and later earned two degrees from Mid-State Technical College.
For the last 21 years he worked side by side with his dad raising honey bees. They cared for 600 hives for honey and pollination. Josh was proud of the strong hives they took to local cranberry marshes. He enjoyed the quiet peace working outdoors with the bees (usually in just a T-shirt).
Josh enjoyed watching sports, especially soccer and Badger basketball.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Torey (wife Amanda) and their children, Julia and Finn, all of River Falls, WI; sister, Ember Kauth (husband Rob Parker) of Portland, OR; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Melvin "Skelly" and Phyllis Burgeson; and paternal grandparents, Ed and LaVerne Kauth.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank Aspirus Wausau ICU for their compassionate care.
Soar high, sweet Josh. You will be deeply missed.
