Joshua Corom Reynolds, 25, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away on a beautiful, autumn day in Soda Springs, Idaho surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rashelle (Housley) and daughter, Raygen TynLee.   Family members include: parents Bill and Brandee Reynolds, brother Brandon (Tiana), and sisters AnnaMarie (Cort) Simpson, and Olivia.  His wife’s parents Jonathan and Kristine Housley and siblings Kolby (Bridgette), Christopher (Kourtney), Zackery (Ashley), Jacob (Jordyn), Keeler, Katrina, Jessica, Austin and Zander.  Grandparents Peggy Reynolds, Linda McFarland, Jenny Mattmiller, Cleon and Virginia Housley, and Donna Jones.   Joshua loves his seven nephews, three nieces, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.   He was preceded in death by Michael Reynolds, Ed Mattmiller and Ray Jones.

Joshua was born on a warm, spring Saturday in Moscow, Idaho on June 13, 1998.  He zipped into this world 45 minutes after his mother went into labor.   He and his brother loved playing on the Kibbie Dome field after football games.  The family moved to Lewiston Idaho in 2000.  He attended Whitman Elementary School, Jennifer Junior High, and graduated from Lewiston High School.  He loved camping, hiking, fishing, wrestling, and playing the Civilization video game.

Due to the many experiences and influences of his close teachers, family, and friends he chose to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.   He served for two years in the Mexico Ciudad Juarez Mission.  He grew to love the people of Ciudad Juarez, Casas Grandes, and Colonia Juarez.   Joshua considered his missionary experience to be one of the best decisions he ever made. It was there that he grew in his conversion to his Savior, Jesus Christ.

On his return flight from his mission, he met Rashelle (mi amor).   They began dating shortly after getting home to Idaho and 6 months later were sealed for time and all eternity in the Twin Falls, Idaho Temple.   They lived in Syracuse, Utah then moved to Rexburg, Idaho where Raygen TynLee was born.  Joshua studied at BYU-Idaho and continued his education online as the family moved to Washington, DC; Syracuse, NY; and Erie, Pennsylvania

Joshua loved and adored his wife Rashelle and beautiful daughter Raygen. They were his everything and he treated them with nothing less than love, gentleness, and kindness.   Family and the love they shared brought him so much Joy.   They loved swimming in the ocean and Great Lakes, having friends and family over for dinner, and spending time together playing board games.  His love of popcorn, Epson salt baths, stubborn personality and his great sense of humor will be remembered forever.

Serving was very important for their family; they loved to teach and be with the missionaries. This last year he served as a Seminary Teacher in the Jamestown NY Stake. He loved his small Seminary class and teaching the Old Testament and New Testament over Zoom, sometimes from a hospital bed. Rashelle and Joshua continued to attend the temple regularly and serve in their Ward.

Joshua was diagnosed with cancer in November 2021.  Although his battle with cancer had many setbacks, he fought valiantly with a determined spirit, full of positivity and faith. He made a point of seeing the miracles and hand of Jesus Christ occurring in our lives. Joshua and his family ask that we all look for the joy in life. His favorite quote brings hope and increases faith for all: “The tomb is empty.  Christ lives!” He looked forward to his next mission on the other side.

Joshua will be interred in Syracuse, Utah on Thursday October 12, 2023.  A memorial service will be held at the Lewiston Idaho Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - 836 Preston Avenue Lewiston Idaho on Saturday October 14, 2023, at 5:00 pm PDT.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
