Joy Aird Obituary

Joy was born on April 3, 1941 to William H. Fuller and Francine (Andrews) Fuller in Detroit Michigan. After Joy graduated from Berkley High School, Berkely, Michigan in 1958, she went on to study at Olivet College, Olivet Michigan where she graduated in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Joy married Thomas Aird on September 2, 1961 in her senior year at Olivet.
Joy is survived by husband Thomas Aird, son David Aird, daughter in-law Sandra Aird, grand children Amanda Aird and Jack Aird, Sister Lyn Dunkerley and husband Paul Dunkerley, brother Richard Fuller and wife Ann Fuller, brother Bill Fuller and wife Eve Fuller.
Joy was very special in her kindness, generosity, and her caring connection with family and friends. She had an amazing memory for people and events and an extensive collection of photos. She remembered everything and could always find just the right photo at the right time to send to a friend.

I've been thinking of Joy and her courage living with a disability. She was generous of spirit and interesting. I remember staying overnight at her house when we were kids. It was a large historic house with a attic in which we found dresses from the last turn of the century and other treasures. We didn't try on the dresses as they smelled of the last wearer. And we had many adventures in the Girl Scouts. She was a special friend at our last meeting in Reno when she welcomed me and my old Golden Retriever.
