Joy Iodice Obituary

Born on May 18, 1952 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Florence (Berardino) Iodice. Joy was a lifelong resident of Fairfield and a proud graduate of its schools before attending Boston College. Her career was spent in retail management, and she also dedicated many years to working at UPS.
Joy was predeceased by her sister, JoAnne Iodice Silva, her brother-in-law, Robert Silva, and a cherished great- niece, Cathi Anne Silva.
Joy was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her, bringing warmth, laughter, and genuine joy wherever she went. Her absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends, especially her devoted cousin and sister at heart, Mary-Lu Cordisco. She is survived by her niece, Stacey Silva Lund, and her husband, Chris; her great-niece, Emma; her nephew, Rob Silva, and his wife, Marsha; her great-niece, Danyelle Silva Blaskewicz, and her husband, Jim; and her great-great-nephews, Jackson and Grayson, who brought immense joy to her life. Joy also treasured the time spent with her loving Berardino cousins, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories.
She remained active in AA, where she forged lifelong friendships that enriched her life. Joy's humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

Belated condolences to friends and family. I didn't know Joy well, but I seem to recall her gumption in having attended Woodstock in 1969.
